Supplements for Outdoorsmen

When we here the word supplements it’s natural to think of huge bodybuilders at the gym pumping that iron. However, nutrition supplements can be very beneficial to everyone, especially those who have a love for the outdoors. If you are one to enjoy hunting, fishing or hiking, you can have the extra edge when taking the right supplements vs. someone of the same interest who is not. Believe me, I know first hand. I love the outdoors, especially hunting and since I have been a few different supplements, I have been able to outlast and out perform the majority of my buddies.

Big Game Hunting

If you enjoy hunting big game, such as deer, elk, turkey, bear and so on, you will be amazed on how much your skills can be improved. As we all know when hunting these smart animals, it is really hard to keep them from smelling you due to body odor. We spend all this money on special detergent for our hunting clothes, shampoo and soap, mouthwash, scent eliminator spray and the list goes on. Two years ago I kept all of my receipts on the purchases I made on products like these to help reduce my scent. I spent over $100 and was I ever in the dog house by the wife. I have always taking basic supplements, like multi-vitamins and protein, so I was determined to find a supplement that would reduce body odor. After some extensive research, I found exactly what I was looking for and that is products containing Charcoal or Chlorophyllin. The product that I started using last year with great results was Hunter’s Advantage. This unique product is formulated to eliminate body odors, which include underarms, bad breathe, hair and feet. It is recommended to begin taking this supplement a month before you plan to start hunting. I was really impressed at how effective this product performed.

Getting up really early to go sit in a tree-stand can be really hard on some. It is easy to begin dosing off at times when there is action, however as we all know that is extremely dangerous. I recommend when you wake up in the morning to eat a light breakfast or have a Protein Drink. This will help you get energized and moving good before you head to the woods. As, I am driving to my hunting spot I will drink a bottle of water to get well hydrated and take a good multi-vitamin. The reason I take a multivitamin is that it gives me a good source of healthy energy, before a day of hunting.

If I am only hunting a half day, I can usually stay alert until about lunch time. By lunch time I begin to get tired and restless and need to charge myself back up. I always pack a few bottles of water with me by the way. When I am ready for a snack of lunch, I will eat a couple Proteins Bars, an apple and either some trail mix or small sandwich. I will also drink a bottle of water and take my multi-vitamin again. It’s amazing how much better I begin to feel, after lunch in the deer stand.

This regimen works great for me personally, however there are some individuals who have issues with focusing or concentration. If, you happen to be one of them, I recommend that you try Focus Factor by Vital Basics. This is an incredible supplement that provides effective brain support, along with being a healthy multivitamin. It is formulated with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, botanical extracts, along with omega-3 oils. A great all around multi-vitamin with focusing and concentration properties.
