Turkey Spinach Burgers

Turkey Spinach Burgers Recipe:

¾ pound lean ground turkey breast

1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry

¼ teaspoon kosher salt

1/8 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

4 leaves of lettuce

1 roasted red pepper

4 thin slices of mozzarella cheese

4 sesame buns, toasted


Coat grill or broiler rack with cooking spray; heat grill to medium high for direct heat, or heat broiler. In a large bowl, combine turkey, spinach, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Shape into 3-inch patties. Grill or broil 10 minutes, turning once, or until a meat thermometer inserted in the sides of the burgers reads 165 degrees F. top each bun with a lettuce leaf; place burgers on top. Garnish lightly with roasted pepper and cheese.
